How it works

Three steps, and none of them happen during the call.

Built for the recurring engagement you rejoin each week and otherwise reconstruct from memory and half-written notes.

  1. 01

Start the session on your Mac

No bot joins the call. You start and stop the recording yourself in Loci.

You stay responsible for telling participants and following the consent rules that apply to your work.

  2. 02

Loci reads the call once it ends

Afterwards, Loci finds the decisions, open questions and actions you would otherwise write down.

  3. 03

    The project updates itself

Each session updates one view of what changed, what happens next and what remains at risk.

The lighting shipment is now two weeks late, so installation cannot finish before the original opening week.

Let’s move the opening to the 18th. I’d rather open once, properly, than explain unfinished rooms.

Ownership and privacy

Your meetings are yours.

You choose what to record. Loci uses your recordings only to run and support the beta, and does not claim ownership of your recordings or content.

  1. On your Mac

    You choose what is recorded

You start and stop each recording yourself in Loci.

  2. Storage and processing

Your history stays in the vault on your Mac

Selected data is processed by external providers for transcription and generation.

  3. In your control

Back it up — your Mac holds the only copy

Delete your history from Settings. Processing, retention and deletion details are explained in the Privacy Policy.

The beta, plainly

What Loci is — and what it is not.

A focused first beta. Know its edges before bringing a live client project to it.

What it is

  • A single-user macOS app for the person carrying the engagement
  • Recording you start and stop yourself, on calls you choose
  • Decisions, open questions and actions pulled out of the conversation
  • One project view that updates after every session
  • A local MCP server, so Claude, Cursor or VS Code can search your project memory
  • English and German recording, with an English interface
  • Free while the beta runs

What it is not

  • A bot that joins the call on your behalf
  • A live transcript while the meeting is happening
  • A shared team workspace with seats and permissions
  • Local-only processing: transcription and generation still run in the cloud

Why Loci exists

Client work deserves a reliable memory.

I built Loci for people responsible for moving client work forward, who are tired of reconstructing it from scattered calls and half-written notes.

FAQ

Questions worth asking.

Anything missing? Email [email protected].

Does Loci join the call?

No. You start and finish the recording from Loci on your Mac. Tell participants and follow the recording-consent rules that apply to your work.

When does processing happen?

After you finish recording. Loci does not provide a live transcript during the meeting.

Where is my meeting history stored?

In a Loci vault on your Mac. To create transcripts and generated results, Deepgram and OpenAI process selected data through Loci’s servers in Germany, and Loci deletes its working copy once your Mac confirms it has the result. If you installed before 18 August 2026, earlier history may still be on Loci’s servers until it moves to your Mac — Settings › Data and Privacy shows which applies.

Can I delete everything?

Settings › Data and Privacy removes the history tied to your device. For lifecycle details or export help, see the Privacy Policy or email Loci.

What Mac and languages does the beta support?

Loci requires macOS 14.6 or later. The interface is in English, and you can record meetings in English or German.

How does getting into the beta work?

Send the form below. Approved testers receive a signed download, a checksum to verify it and a one-time seat code.

What does beta access cost?

The beta is currently free and single-user. That does not promise permanent free access, and current usage limits are shared before activation.

What does the local MCP connection do?

Loci runs an MCP server on your Mac. Once you authorize a client such as Claude, Cursor or VS Code in Settings, it can search your sessions, projects and tasks, and every result links back to the supporting source. Connections are read-only, audio is never exposed, and you can revoke each client at any time.
